About

Computational immunology for translational medicine.

Joseph Katz is an MSc candidate in Applied Immunology by Advanced Standing at the University of Toronto and SickKids, supervised by Dr. Eytan Wine. His research investigates the fate and function of reverse-transmigrated neutrophils after intestinal inflammation in zebrafish, alongside work on neuroendocrine-epithelial interactions, single-cell transcriptomics, and multi-omics in inflammatory bowel disease. His previous work with Dr. Mamatha Bhat at University Health Network applies spatial proteomics to liver allograft fibrosis and multi-agent AI to donor suitability. He also teaches undergraduate physiology and supervises an immunology thesis student.
