Computational and translational research

Selected projects connecting cellular mechanisms, patient-derived models, and computational analysis.

Reverse-Transmigrated Neutrophils in Zebrafish

Developed a transgenic zebrafish line and model to track intestine-derived neutrophils after inflammation, examining migration and oxidative stress as possible contributors to extra-intestinal IBD manifestations.

Ultra-Processed Foods and IBD

Integrated multi-omics data in R and developed XGBoost, Random Forest, and Extra Trees models to predict IBD incidence. Complementary cell-culture work examines epithelial barrier integrity. UK Biobank analysis is pending data access.
